Long-running industrial/progressive act
Controlled Bleeding has unveiled plans to release a special compilation covering the band's early punk era. Though the group eventually moved into a more electronic direction, the band's early 1978-1982 era was more informed by the first wave of New York City punk bands like The Dictators, Dead Boys, the Ramones and progressive acts like King Crimson, Mahavishnu Orchestra and Henry Cow.
The tracks were selected by frontman Paul Lemos. The record is titled
Before the Quiet and is due out
June 10, 2008.

Paul Lemos was my english teacher last year. He is a great dude. We've played basketball together and we discuss music alot. Good to see his band is still getting some press.
