American Steel, Bayide to support Alkaline Trio

American Steel and Bayside have been tapped to support Alkaline Trio ontheir upcoming headlining tour. Bayside will open the tour and American Steel will join the trek on July 8th and provide support until the tour wraps up on August 3rd.

Bayside will be reissuing The Walking Wounded on July 22, 2008. American Steel reunited after several years off. They released Destroy Their Future last year. Alkaline Trio is gearing up for the release of their major label debut. The record is titled Agony and Irony and is due out July 01, 2008.

Not only is it my birthday show (my band is opening) but I also booked the show so I sorta have to pay the whole thing (all non-profit every dime is going to the opening acts).

Ugh, now I have to decide between Alkaline Trio/American Steel and Hot Water Music on July 12. I'd normally go for HWM, but it's in a huge, shitty venue so I'm not sure.

HWM is far and away the better band live. Also, everything they have put out is pure gold, Alkaline Trio, not so much.

yea... American Steel is probably one of my favorite bands, and i most definetly like them more than i like HWM, but the only time i saw them it wasnt that great... well, everyone was there for the lawrence arms only except for me and like 5 other people... id go to HWM since you dont know if youll be able to see them again

Fuck yes! American Steel joins the tour on the Detroit (ok, Pontiac) date. As much as I despise Clutch Cargo's I'm not missing American Steel again.

why don't you like clutch cargos? i've only been there once, but it didn't seem bad. they gave out free water so that was a plus...normally i end up having to drink from the sinks, which is a minor inconvenience

The Last is gold too. The BYO reissue has some extra stuff by Frankie's other project (Pope) that's not really labelled as such, and isn't as good as the first half. Little White God, Patrick Kills Me and Shipyards are more than worth it though.

Ducat King has presales for most of the dates. I just bought 2 at $17.50 face value for the Pontiac date and only paid $6.50 total in service charges. I'm sure TicketBastard would be 3 times that.
