Bridge Nine signs Energy

Bridge 9 has signed melodic hardcore/punk act Energy. The band will be recording their debut full length for the label after releasing their debut EP, Punch the Clock in 2007.

According to their new label, the band is influenced by acts like The Misfits, Rancid, Weezer, AFI, 7 Seconds and many more. You can check out some music on their myspace page.

So I just spent the last 60 seconds on their Myspace sampling their songs because you guys keep saying "they're good!" and shit, so.... no.

They seem good at what they do, but that voice just makes me want to punch someone... and because I'm a pussy, I'm not gonna punch anybody, I'm just gonna be a dick and not feed my dog.

B9 has had some weird signings as of late. With that said, I think these guys sound pretty good.

I like, a lot, the singer has some davey havoc feeling though... I donno if it's the pictures or the voice or both..

Don't hear the AFI thing, though visually it's an obvious influence. Sounds like Dave Smalley singing for Ignite though.

I'm excited to hear what the new CD will sound like. The EP was great, but the AFI influence in the newer demos sounds better I think. Good for them!

Is it me or most the newest hardcore bands peak in the 90's punk. Does anyone remember Pridebowl.

FUCK YES! Their last ep blew my mind! That Johnny Cash cover? You can forget about topping that shit! I wouldn't call them harcore though. Definately the one of the best melodic skate punk bands out there. Where are you Aaron Goulding? Please bring back 'the bowl'.
