This Bike is a Pipe Bomb release "Convertible"

In typical low-key fashion, This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb have announced their fourth full length, Convertible The album features fourteen songs recorded at Revolution Sounds by Mike Pack in Chatanooga, TN and will be available soon on CD and vinyl through No Idea and (presumably) Plan-It-X.

No Idea has a stream of a new track from the album, "Hurricane Highway" and you can check that out here.

My girlfriend does a lot of vegan cooking that's not of the "hey, it's made of mushrooms but looks like chicken!" variety. She made a pea and potato curry this week that was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. you really should come on out, man.

if you want to trek out to reston, try mayuri. i eat there at least once a week. in herndon there is a great place too but i cant think of the name of it.

actually i made some vegan nc-style bbq once. (i had cooked two pork shoulders as well, for my carnivorous friends, but had a couple of vegans there too)

no shit, it was actually pretty good.

i pretty much just took some morningstar farms chicken, (wait, maybe that has eggs and is not vegan?) sauteed it, and then simmered it in north carolina-style bbq sauce (fill a ketchup bottle halfway with white vinegar and halfway with apple cider vinegar, pour it into a saucepan, bring to slight boil, toss in a couple tbsp of sugar (sugar in the raw/turbinado works great), a couple tbsp of ketchup (for color) a tablespoon of paprika, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1/2 tbsp black pepper, and 2 tbsp red pepper flakes, boil for a couple mins, then cool)

awesome. finding good fake meats are not a problem...altho morningstar farms is changing their recipe so's i can eat their stuff, there's plenty of smaller brands that taste/cook/work better. may not taste like the food they're mocking, but tasty nonetheless.

I got to play with this band on tour once. They were really cool dudes and even gave us some of their door cut to get us rolling down the road to our next show without us even asking. They just volunteered it when the promoter mentioned to them we were from out of state. Gotta love random acts of kindness.

At first I thought it was these guys who ran Plan it X until I asked a guy from Jihad a few nights ago and he told me it was a dewd from Ghost Mice!

Regardless these guys should do west coast

Yeah, it's the only dude in Ghost Mice. He's a really nice guy. I've met him on two occasions at Cave 9 in Birmingham.
