Ted Leo records and co-writes "The World is in the Turlet" live on the radio

In an interesting example of "crowdsourcing," Ted Leo, along with Tom Scharpling and the listeners of WFMU's The Best Show on WFMU wrote a song together in about two hours talking about the "Hipster Apocalypse."

Using lyrics written with the listeners, Leo and company wrote and recorded the song and the song itself was premiered live on the radio. You can check it out here.

Everyone should subscribe to to the podcast for The Best Show On WFMU where this was taken from, it's the highlight of my week.

Oh, and that AP Show podcast ain't bad, either...

I don't know why, but the time Wurster's dog was barking and he kept insisting it was a dragon (I think it was a Gene Simmons call) is infinitely funny to me. Even more so than the rest of the S&W stuff, I mean.

Well, the listeners mostly wrote the lyrics, so it's to be expected. A lot of it seems to stem from an incident involving hipsters making fun of Tom's sunglasses in Brooklyn.
