The Ataris have posted another update as they continue demoing for their next full length at The Gallows Recording Studio. The studio is owned and operated by Chris and Bryan from The Widow Jenkins(ex Emery/Brazil), and is based in Muncie, IN. The band plans to begin the formal recording process later this summer and are aiming for an early 2009 release.
The band also recently promised that the new album would see return to their Blue Skies, Broken Hearts - Next 12 Exits.../End is Forever-era sound. Last year, they released Welcome the Night. The Ataris Studio Diary #2 Sanctuary Records (53 comments)

This has been posted 5 times already, same wording and everything. I only have a limited amount of combover jokes and ways of expressing how much I don't care for this band.

I've been listening to that CD lately a bit. My love for their blend of pop-punk makes the world seem so simpler.

The cover of this new release reminds me of a photo of my grandmother. On the new Yellowcard release, the singer wrote a song loosely based on his grandfatther's relationship with his grandmother. As the singer came from a broken home, he felt it was important to document and praise his own grandfather for being married 58 years. Talking about pulling on your heart strings! What a band. New release "Paper Walls" is hitting the streets soon. 2+ Replies
