honestly. the label released an unrendered version of the video. if you pay attention, some of the shots look completed and like well done 3D and some of it looks like playblast. because it is. watch this video when it gets rereleased when it's finished, maybe you'll be less disapproving.

Skiba has said for years, and years he wanted the type of success that Social Distortion has had, if not greater. They didn't have to sign to a major for money, God knows they weren't exactly on the corner begging for change and tossing out hand jobs to get by. At least now they can try to achieve that goal of being on the same level with Social D to a wider audience.

because we don't expect movie directors to have ethics, it's not something they are known for. unfortunately for the alkaline trio, being in a "punk band" usually comes with some ethics.

you know, not being proud to have your logo next to a logo that represents everything wrong with capitalism and excess. little things like that. i was cool with the major label, i guess. vagrant is practically a major anyway, but the nikes were over the line and this video / song / album are not a big hit with me so far. bummer.

Uh, please point out where i said anything even remotely similar to that. I think i'm one of the few people on this site who doesn't give a fuck what label a band is on, as long as the music is good.

My beef with the dude i was replying too was that he thought this video and the shoe thing was a reason not to buy the cd, and I was asking him how that affects their music. Perhaps you should, you know, read my posts before commenting on them.

They've been pretty obviously campy since the video for "We've Had Enough". You could also argue the "Stupid Kid" video was campy, even though I loved it (especially the ending).
