Dragonforce: "Heroes of Our Time"

Dragonforce have posted a new song from their upcoming album. The record is titled Ultra Beatdown and is due out August 26, 2008 (art.)

You can check out the song on their myspace page.

One wonders how long it will take before this track takes over as the "gold standard" for Guitar Hero experts.

I too love rocking some Dragonforce when I'm blazed! I fucking hate that I dig this band soooo much. The new song sounds like exactly what I was expecting, kick fucking ass!!!! Can't wait to see these dudes at the Mayhem Festival at Downsview in Toronto this summer.

I love how everybody here loves this band. I can't listen to them without laughing. And that's a good thing. They're pretty fucking unbelievably awesome.

I typically enjoy almost any Dragonforce song, one or two at a time, but a whole album gets monotonous. And unfortunately, as awesome as they are at what they do, they only do one thing, and that means basically every song sounds identical.

I still consider the first 3 tracks of Sonic Firestorm to be pretty much comprehensive of every melody, solo, and guitar sound trick that they are capable of. Great songs.

That being said, I heard this song and went MEH
They need more breakdowns ala Unearth.

I mean i know alot of bands are covered here, but even the likes of good charlotte or whatever have at least some link to punk.... but this? seriously?

Satanic Surfers' Heroes Of Our Time > Everything else in life, except oral sex (but only when the girl is very good at it).

There is so much better power metal out there. I like that they seem to go balls out all the time with it, which is the best part of power metal, but I think they're just so mediocre at it. Give me The Cage by Sonata Arctica any day over this garbage.
