Less Than Jake to broadcast Poughkeepsie show online

Less Than Jake have announced plans to broadcast the entirety of their upcoming Poughkeepsie, NY show at The Chance. The feature will include some pre-show interviews and the full set from the band. The group is currently in the midst of the Shout It Loud II Tour with Goldfinger, Big D and the Kids Table, and Suburban Legends.

The webcast takes place on July 12th at this link.

I haven't been there in 4-5 years, but I recall enjoying myself. I've seen Glassjaw and The Suicide Machines there. The Glassjaw show was sold out, but a couple of guys let us in on their will call since two of their party didn't show. Never would have suspected Glassjaw fans to be so kind.

no i live in nyc. been to a few shows at the chance. and actually, the big room isn't bad, but the small little community thing next door is horrible. the scene kids are corny (as they are anywhere) and the bouncers are meatheads.

and i haven't seen less than jake since 1998 or 1999 and i won't be there.

Glad to see you change your mind there Scott. I am from Westchester and to be honest The Chance is all we really have, so even if it was complete shit, which it is not, that is all we really have.

Did anyone else go to one of the shows they put on and think that the Suburban Legends were a complete joke?
At the Chicago show they came out and started break dancing only to be followed by horrible music with choreographed moves, yes like the Backstreet Boys.

I have no idea why bands take them on tour, watching them is truly embarassing. I made sure to show up late to miss them this time around. Their debut ep was enjoyable though but everything else they made is unlistenable.

I didn't see this, no, but I have seen Suburban Legends at a small club opening for... uhm, maybe Streetlight Manifesto, I think? Maybe Karate High School, and while they do a bitchin' cover of Under the Sea, that's about all.

saw this tour in milwaukee. suburban legends made me feel like i was on a cruise ship watching the after dinner show...it was a joke. big d was great. goldfinger was nuts...john feldman said it was the best show of the tour...does he say this at all the shows? ltj was great...lotta rockview which was good. question: is vinnie fiorello a good guy or a dickhead? alotta times in interviews, etc he seems like a real douche.

What's up with Poughkeepsie in the news the past few months... I swear I've never heard of the place until recently, now it's everywhere in the news. I feel a bias coming on, and I'm not entirely sure it's warranted... I need some help here.

it's really a pretty shitty town. I would've lived there had my family not relocated to Buffalo when I was 2. It's really got nothing going for it, unfortunately. Pretty sad. It's been mentioned in a felice bros. song and the matchbook romance is from there. that's about it. Oh, and that movie about the rapist that filmed his crimes is named for it. Poughkeepsie Tapes? you might have heard of it. Oh, and FDR is from a neighboring town, Hyde Park
