Tours: The Night Marchers

The Night Marchers have announced their summer tour dates. The band includes members of Beehive and the Barracudas, Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes and Rocket From The Crypt and will be supporting See You in Magic, their debut.

those in the affected areas are strongly encouraged to attend.

however, the night marchers are no hot snakes. and they are no rftc. or pitchfork. or dlj, or back off cupids. not even sultans.

but they sure are awesome

i agree that they are no hot snakes or rocket, but i disagree on the others. i think back off cupids are not even close, pitchfork is slightly better than back off cupids, and sultans are better than both of them, but not quite as good as the night marchers.

Honestly though, I think the most-played songs on my ipod are "Burn Pigs Burn", "Caress", "Spikes to You", and "Here Come the Rome Plows". I call it my grocery-shopping playlist.

Damn I totally forgot the Night Marchers. Revision:

Hot Snakes=RFTC (depending on mood) > Night Marchers > DLJ > Sultans (ca. 2nd album) > Pitchfork > Back Off Cupids

I probably listen to Rocket & the Snakes about the same amount, with the Marchers creeping up on 3rd since their CD hasn't left my car since it came out.

Has anyone ever been to Monolith? Granted I don't think it's been a fest very long. Is it worth it? What's the set up like? Are there stages all over Red Rocks or is it just the main stage in the amphitheater?
I guess I could go look online, but firsthand accounts help moreso.

BUMMER I had to miss their last Chicago show for a wedding. Wedding was just ok.

I love these guys, but their lp is import only so it's mega expensive. These dudes are letting me down.

But I worship at the alter of Rick and John so all these bands are waaaaaay up there on my favorite bands list. I can't wait for Obits to release some real tracks. Anybody else hear that they're probably signing on Sub-Pop?
