Dragonforce launch "Ultra-Beatdown" card

Dragonforce have launched a new e-card featuring their upcoming album. The record is titled Ultra Beatdown and is due out August 26, 2008.

Kids who can play "the trooper" on guitar hero and think they can obviously move on to a real guitar are stoked....probably.

Whatever, I'm willing to bet that Guitar Hero and Rock Band got more people into learning music than people would have without it.

You think so? All I ever witness is a bunch of fucked up people pushing colorful buttons and flipping switches to whatever shitty song they choose to "play"....In the real world however, 95% of them couldn't give a blue fuck about playing a legitimate instrument.

Besides if a video game pushes anyone to realize their potential burning musical talent within, they're bad off. They should just stick to watching the pretty pixelated rock stars flinging guitars around their necks.

I know a couple kids, one who already kinda started before guitar hero who was pushed to learn more because of guitar hero and one who actually thought it was so cool that he asked for a real guitar for his birthday and is now learning how to play it. My little cousin decided to go the bass guitar route, and my roommate decided to learn how to play drums because of rock band.

So we're going from the elitists saying "Learn A Real Instrument!" to other elitists saying "No Don't Learn A Real Instrument!"

I don't understand why people have to have such a huge problem with a video game. I like Final Fantasy, nobody ever told me "Go Be a LARPer!"

Best tour idea ever: Dragonforce and Catfight Batman.

Oh dear lord, that would be hilarious. Just the mix of obnoxious metal kids and mellow beardpunks in the crowd would make me laugh. Tensions would be high. Across the land, a millions of boys in Slipknot shirts and wallet chains would be charging toward a crowd of twenty year olds in HWM shirts.

That would be amazing.

I love progressive, technical music. I love thrash. These guys combine it, but somehow they do it with NO variation, and its all synthetic like a pair of silicone tits (which I kind of like though, the boobs, not the music). This is all auto-tune vocals, copy and pasted riffs and leads, fake fake fake. Granted, these guys are faster guitarists than me, but I use only real takes, no edits.

I have a couple albums,but I don't rock them that often. I get through 2 songs and it gets old really fast. Plus the vocals are terrible.
