The Scaries reunite for The Fest!

Defunct Chapel Hill, NC based pop-punk band The Scaries will reunite for an appearance at this year's Fest in Gainesville, Florida. The band called it quits in December of 2003 with a pair of hometown shows. Since then members of the band have played in J. Page, Colossus and Amish Jihad.

The Fest will take place between October 31st and November 2nd in Gainesville. The event feature over 250 bands playing 8 stages and annually lures many bearded or otherwise scruffy Punknews readers to the Sunshine State.

ha, I actually came here to post this figuring it would be way off topic, but damn you guys were right about Jawbreaker. After 8 years of putting them on the back burner of bands to check out....funny how music sometimes has a way of finding you at just the right time though.

most of y'all probably havent even heard of these guys but they were really awesome. all of them are super nice dudes, and i cant wait to see them.

I heard about them in '02 or '03 on a Suburban Home Record Sampler (lived in Texas at the time haha). They're good poppy punk stuff. I bet they'll put on a great show that I will miss because money is total jerk to me.
