A group of
students from Full Sail University has put together a mini-documentary for Gainesville, FL-based beardcore label No Idea Records. We've received word that the video was completed for a final school
project, and the director(s) have since graduated. Whether the video serves as a trailer for a full-length documentary feature are unknown, however, the posted 6-minute clip gives an interesting look into the label responsible for releases from bands like Hot Water Music, Planes Mistaken For Stars, Radon and many more.
The label also hosts the annual Fest each year. This year's Fest 7 will feature Bouncing Souls, Less Than Jake, Leatherface, Dillinger Four, The Lawrence Arms and many, many more over the weekend of October 31st in where else? Gainesville, FL. You can check out the video below, or here. No Idea Records (87 comments)

The scene with Var at the desk looks odd for some reason. 2+ Replies

also while this looks interesting, the "looking up from the knees" perspective is horrible for documentaries. i mean, what the fuck? he's pointing out these important rooms in the no idea offices and you're looking at a virgins t-shirt and the ceiling. 6+ Replies

Kind of annoyingly shot and edited. More Errol, less MTV, film students. 1+ Reply

Cindy McCain looks like a dead raccoon. She also needs public speaking lessons.

That was awesome! I moved to Panama City FL 10 years ago, and lasted 3 months before leaving due to being a cultural wasteland. I should have went to Gainesville instead. One of the few labels that iI will buy almost anything they put out. 1+ Reply

My friend James helped film this, it turned out so great. And Geis shot-gunning a beer in the beginning is priceless.. or just the price of a beer I guess.

I would love to have Var go on record as saying that Reinventing Axl Rose is his label's Kerplunk.

Speaking of No Idea, odds that the "Dear Landlord split with some terrible band" is a split with Dillinger Four? 1+ Reply
