It's Sunday morning and I'm not trying very hard so here's something fun that's making the rounds in the blogosphere.
Boing Boing and Laughing Squid recently put the spotlight on the notorious "punk episode" of 70s forensic medical drama Quincy. The episode, titled "Next Stop, Nowhere" first aired in December of 1982 and features Jack Klugman trying to save a girl lured into the sordid and violent punk underground. Given the amount of eyeliner kids are wearing these days, the amount of face paint on display here is less funny than it should be. Click below for a few clips. This is nothing compared to that CHiP's episode, that's one of the funniest things i've ever seen. 1+ Reply

Did anyone else notice that the stage banner said 'Mayhem'? How much funnier would this episode have been if they had gotten the actual Mayhem and some of their real fans in on it? 3+ Replies

I mean c'mon, who hasn't gotten a little crazy at their punk show and stabbed a couple of people? It's how us punx fight the system, stabbing our friends. 2+ Replies

Interesting enough, none of you seem to be able to prove the good Dr. Quincy wrong. Maybe he’s got a point. 2+ Replies

As an old fart, I turned on many kids in the 90's to this crapfest, AND the CHiPs punk episode. A lot of kids were into the Quincy Punx(who rule) and Id be like have you ever seen that stupid episode!?!?? Im pretty sure Quincy Punx actually cover the song the band "PAIN" from the CHiPs episode did. The best "punk rock episode" ever is from the Saturday morniing cartoon version of Teen Wolf.Styles leaves Teen Wolf dude downtown and he ends up lost in the city and stumbles into a "PUNK" NEIGHBORHOOD(!!!) and meets some "punks" and realises that Styles and his other peers disdain for "punks" is mindless prejudice based mostly on the way they look. He goes to a show and slam dances and jumps of the stage as the wolf and they catch him and dont judge him for being different. He's all like"these people look wierd, but therye actually cool!" You'd think a werewolf

it's pretty clear that BlackRonin is actually the nerdy kid who got the shit kicked out of him from Little Giants that made up "The Annexation of Puerto Rico" | Features
