Moby forms a new punk band

Popular electronica artist Moby has formed a new punk rock band with some kids he found on Craigslist. He has put together a new video documenting the evolution of this particular band who eventually kicked him out.

I'm a senior, and this year's actually been little better than the passed three. Mostly because I've been hanging out with people who already graduated. I'm just excited to (hopefully) go away to college. How cliche, right?

My senior year was the same way. Most of my friends were freshmen in college, and I was completely checked out of high school mentally. If you're anything like me, you're probably going to look back at high school, laugh, and realize that it was actually a pretty good time. All kinds of shit changes in college, but it's a really great time, so get stoked.

No. There really aren't any typical "college parties"...if you're into punk, anyway. Make friends early on around the campus and get a house together that's already cheap in rent and host your own parties with the type of shit you wanna see. Chicken fights on the lawn. Wallball if you're in an apartment. Brutal Charades. Party crash the kids you hate and hop the beers. Or just do that shit and don't go to college. Plenty of warehouses and ports in most cities to work at.

And drop the "gay" namecalling. Chances are, it'll only get you closer to a bunch of bros with hard-ons for calling other men by that same completely overused epithet.

More peole and more chances to find relatable people and more anonymity, so yes...but no. You have to add in the college-douchbag/middlecalss desperation/clas-war flaming hoop factor. College already draws a substantial number of the type of peopel who subscribe to the "high school model" for all of society. At college they are more spread out though. Fuck parties, go to shows. SHOWS ARE PARTIES!!! WITH THE BAND YOU CHOSE TO SEE AS THE ENTERTAINMENT!!!!!
