I'm finally getting my first guitar (I know, I was a drums kid).

Should I get:

Acoustic Bass
Acoustic Guitar w/ Nylon Strings
Acoustic Guitar w/ Steel Strings

I kind of want the steel for the bluesy stuff I like, but then I also like the folky sound of the nylon. Help.

Steel acoustic. So much more useful. Get a Fender acoustic, they're nothing special, but a good place to start.

Nylons are kind of quiet, and less useful if you want to ever do anything besides practice.
It's much harder to amplify a nylon, strings are a bitch to change too .
I don't know. It really does all come down to preference. I would actually recomend dropping about 300 on an entry level acoustic electric in case you want do do something like an open mic nite.
If your just learning though, anything will do.

My personal preference would be nylon strings with an electric pickup in the guitar. That way, if you need to play loud you can plug straight into the PA or whatever else is around (and many guitars come with a tuner built in :D). If you are NOT planning on playing shows with amplification, steel strings sound beautiful as well..
