I must be the only person who takes for-fucking-ever to get anything from FAT. When I ordered the NOFX double live, it took almost two weeks. Same for the new Real McKenzies. Two different addresses and both took forever to receive. I don't know if they take longer to ship records or they just don't like shipping to me.

Nobody ever allowed somebody to steal the recordings. The whole thing was people dick-hurt over a stream. Somebody else non-associated ripped it and 'someone' tattled on the wrong person and caused a shit-storm.

I cannot answer this question but I just wanted to say the following: for the longest time I did not "get" the Gaslight Anthem. I thought they were incredibly dull and was growing increasingly annoyed everytime I heard their name mentioned. I listened to a stream of the new record and barely made it through. But then this past Saturday they were playing the vinyl of "59 Sound" at my local record store and it clicked; I bought it and haven't stopped listening to it since. But why? Why the sudden change of heart? Do I honestly enjoy the record or has my subconscious caved into months of constant hype? It doesn't make any sense. I was so bored by the record when I listened to a stream of it a while ago. My newfound appreciation of the record did not stem, as it sometimes does, from repeated listenings. I just all of a sudden liked it and I have no idea why.

Same thing happened to me with HORSE the Band. First few times I listened I was unimpressed. A year later I listened through "A Natural Death" and suddenly realized that it was amazing. Who knows.

Yep, I love having those moments too. A lot of it has to do with the environment you hear the album in. I distinctly remember that happening for the last Ted Leo album and Against Me's "Searching for..." Both albums didn't do much for me until I was just in the right place and the right mood, and suddenly the albums took on a completely different character. It's funny how that listening experience sticks with the album over time.

Same here, I had that album for about a year and thought it was mediocre at best and then one day it just made sense and I still listen to it all the time.

Are you talking about the Rise Against tour? Gaslight gets 30 minutes, Thrice and Alkaline Trio get 40 minutes and Rise Against plays for 85 minutes.

those mp3's most likely came from a rip of the original stream, and the sound quality for stream rips generally suck.

i feel you on that bro. today marks one week of living down here for me. i've spent every autumn of my life in michigan up til now and fuck do i regret not waiting til after halloween to move down here. no beautiful changing colors, no bonfires, no perfect hoody weather, no haunted houses, no fresh cider, i'm guessing there won't be any trick-or-treaters on the 31st, and fall is my goddamn favorite season! anyway, i've not heard any of this new d4 yet, and don't really know any of their old stuff. am i missing out?

yeah I'm from mn so I hear you. There should still be trick or treaters and haunted houses although you said naples I think so it probably depends on the neighborhood. The upside is, even though there are no nice colors, the end of november thru say march is pretty much fall temps while lots of the rest of the country is scraping ice from windshields and whatnot.
