Beastie Boys have announced that they will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Paul's Boutique with a deluxe remastered edition. Set for release on January 27, 2009, the album will feature some as-yet unnamed bonus tracks.
The classic album was released in 1989 and featured the trio's collaboration with producers, the Dust Brothers. The album was ranked number 156 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time EMI Group (23 comments)

Weren't they supposed to do a version of their last album with all sorts of guest vocalists? Did that happen? 1+ Reply

Here's betting that the bonus tracks will be the Dust Brothers instrumentals that inspired most of the songs. I've heard a few and they're nothing to jump up and down about.

the b-sides to this album are all really unexciting. if those are the bonus tracks, there's no real point in re-buying it. but if you don't already have this shit, you need to go get it now.

Does "remastered" mean they had to change the music samples, or did they actually get permission for them all?

I have the Hey Ladies 12" single and on the flip-side, it has two non-album tracks, 33% God and Dis Yourself in '89... Both tracks are pretty lame, and were better off not on the album.

This album is a classic example of being way underappreciated when it first came out, only to be more revered as time passes by. Paul's Boutique continues to be my favorite Beasties release ...

Remastered, nice. One of those 80's cds that just sounded way too quiet. | Features

But will it have their cover of the Beatles' "I'm Down" that Michael Jackson blocked from release way back when?
