Animal Collective have posted a song from their upcoming album. The record is titled Merriweather Post Pavilion and is due out January 20, 2009. It is the follow-up to Strawberry Jam which was released in 2007.

judging by the amount and type of people foaming at the mouth to get the new LP (VINYL ONLY, PLZ) i can pretty much say fuck you to this band without hearing anything by them.

"Feels" is still their best. This album lacks the random outbursts of noise that they're known for. It's definitely safer/more Shins-like.
