Smoke or Fire announces tour with NOFX and plans to record

Smoke Or Fire have announced that they will be recording the follow up to This Sinking Ship in late March or early April. The band is planning to record with producer Matt Allison.

Before that, the band will be hitting the road with NOFX for a West Coast tour.

I think we reported it already but not the recording plans which has me stoked. They are probably one of my favourite current Fat bands, they also played my favourite song of theirs live for the first time at a show I was at.

yeah, i fucking love that song. I've seen them five times - every time intentionally. I do love this band. But the last time I saw them I asked them how come they never played that and they just finished up a small, small club tour in which the Chicago show was 21 and over (and I am not). He said they played it every day on that tour so fuck me i guess. I've seen them every time they've come to Chicago except for like three times, twice being 21 and over shows.

Culture as Given is my favorite. The only time i've seen them live was when they were opening for rise against, and they played at least 4/5 of those songs. They tore it up, but it was dissapointing cause the crowd either didn't know who they were, or just didn't give a shit.

I don't think so... Well, you could, but I don't think you would lose. On a side note, I'm glad NOFX is touring again soon. I've missed them countless times. I broke out So Long... the other day, classic album.

I just noticed a weird relation between Alkaline Trio and Gaslight Anthem. In Warbrain, at the end, when Dan Andriano does the backup vocals (which by the way, talks about the storm of 59...get it?) its the exact same melody as the chorus whoas in Old White Lincoln AND Casanova Baby. Obviously coincidental...just thought it was random.

Man, the Walking Dead is so fucking good. The cliffhangers are sick and awesome.

MIschief Brew was great tonight. Franz Nikolay, not so much. Ryan said he sang like Meat Loaf, which made me laugh until it hurt. He also kept doing this silly dramatic gestures, and a drunk in the back of the bar kept shouting "more accordian!"

Walking Dead is good but my regular comicbook shop was out of the volume I need last I went, boy was I disappointed.

Franz was really fun to watch with the Hold Steady, but I imagine his hand gestures in another light could be seen as awful.

He was just playing standard strummed melodies while sounding like he was attempting some light opera. I love the dude and W/IFS and Hold Steady are freaking AMAZING, but it was just pretty weak.

I dont know about that, who else does he produce other than Smoke or fire? His work is top notch these days though for sure, Smoke or fire's last one was tight and his work on Warbrain for ALK3 was rad too.
