Two Tongues: "If I Could Make You Do Things"

Two Tongues, the new project from Max Bemis and Coby Linder of Say Anything and Chris Conley and David Soloway of Saves The Day, have posted a new song and announced some more details about their forthcoming debut. The record is titled Two Tongues and is due out February 13, 2009.

iTunes will be offering two exclusive, acoustic bonus tracks with the purchase of the album. Max Bemis does a solo acoustic cover of "Third Engine" (from Saves the Day's 1999 sophomore album, Through Being Cool), and Chris Conley covers Say Anything's "Every Man Has a Molly" (from their 2004 …Is a Real Boy release).

Quite possibly, but I don't know what we could do to make fun of these guys that they haven't done already. "In interviews they have vaguely homoerotic banter, the album album art looks like they're making out, and it has a song called "If I Could Make You Do Things."

Wow...I just always felt like Say Anything wasn't my thing but I actually laughed at this song. The music is alright but the vocals are hilarious, as are the lyrics. I also love the track that starts with "They there boy, you're beautiful. I told you so but you still don't know".
This is comedy gold.

There is nothing exciting about these songs at all. Generic Sound The Alarm-era Saves the Day sound with two singers. They talked about how this would be a mix of Through Being Cool and ...Is A Real Boy which peeked my interests, but this is a let down in all aspects.

Actually he and Chris are both huge wanks. During that acoustic tour they did last year, all they did on stage the entire time was tell the crowd how much they disliked us, and how they really didn't want to be here.

At one point Chris and Dave both chastised an audience member who requested and song, which is something they themselves had prompted about a song ago. And it wasn't a sarcastic "Free Bird!" request, it was legitimate.

That night completely ruined the band for me.
