Off With Their Heads perform live on a city bus

Minneapolis-based Off with Their Heads recently got to play live on a popular local TV show called Drinking With Ian. The entire performance took place on a moving city bus. Frontman Ryan Young explained:

So there is this local Minneapolis TV show called Drinking With Ian. It's kinda like a late night talk show ala Conan, but everyone gets wasted while they shoot it and it somehow cross breeds with Pee Wee's Playhouse or some shit. Anyway, they asked us to play on the show, and we said yes. I later found out that the show was being filmed entirely on a moving city bus. So six months later, here is a video of OWTH playing live on a moving bus on TV. We fucking made the big time, dude!

Did you get around to the new TSOL yet? It's more in the vein of late Joykiller and the lighter stuff on Dissappear, but I've already listened to it 6 times through. So rad.

Yeah I've listened to it three or four times so far. I don't like it as much as Divided We Stand but it's definitely still really solid, and agreed on the Joykiller comment.

I would just get "tickets" to the show to get drunk with Iain. I ended up watching the entire episode after drawn in by that crooner's sweet intro when bus pulled up.

Man, I wish someone would have videotaped when Against All Authority played in the pirate ship. I was there and it was pretty awesome, it was a bunch of punks dressed like pirates skanking in a tiny ass wooden ship.

I didn't see any form of recording device, although that was years ago, so my memory is a bit hazy.

But I doubt it would have had a good sound quality anyway, seeing as how there was only one microphone, the crowd had to help with the backing vocals, and everything was moving from one side to the other (because it was a pretty small boat) and people kept bumping or straight out falling into the band members.

I was stuck in traffic on my way home from work the other day because of an accident, so it took me about an hour and a half longer than usual. I kept trying to find ways around it but they all kept failing and I wound up back stuck in it. I wanted to kill myself, or punch someone, and was fucking pissed and just wanted to be home. So I opened up all my windows and put From The Bottom on as loud as it could go, and began yelling at the top of my lungs for the entirety of the CD, banging my water bottle on the inside of my car as a makeshift drumstick. It really saved my sanity that day, and I felt really good when I finally got home.

actually it used to be de rigeur for talk shows in the 60's/70's.

if you watch older footage of the johnny carson or merv griffin shows, they always had their guests on with a glass of something and a smoke.

OFF WIT THERE BIG HEADS!, thats what this try hard straight edge vegan band should be called. i used to remember a time many moons ago when they were playing venues to 20 people. Just heard they are supporting Chill Peppers at Madison Square Garden. Gonna auction all the albums i own by them. So if anyway wants to get there back catalogue cheap, just send me an email.
