Media: Classics of Love (Jesse Michaels): "Countdown"

Classics of Love, the new band from Jesse Michaels of Operation Ivy and Common Rider have posted their first rough mix/demo track. The song, "Countdown," will appear in its finished form on a forthcoming Asian Man EP.

that song totally blew me away. awesome!!! very similar to common rider but there was more energy, it was more urgent sounding. can't wait for the EP.

So, what makes a band? Is it a well written song for others to sing? Fuck no. That's like a third grader reading a Walcott poem. That's why pop lacks even a shred of integrity. A song is a piece of art. It's a black and white sketch that rises from the writter. The band takes cadence with these emotions, eventualy awakening the artist who will channel the cohesive passion of his song; or spit out an ejaculation of sludge; only to realize that Glam Rock is dead.
