that sound academy show is going to be so empty. i went to see gob at the elmo in 2007 right after their last album came out and there was maybe 150 people there.

I was there too. The jock contingent was out in full force, and there were also a disconcerting number of middle-aged women eager to flirt with said jocks. It was definitely a horribly depressing show.

The first time I saw gob there was like fourty people there. But it was 'old' gob so it was all good!

No kidding. I hope they enjoy Timmins in February.

Also, I've lived in Ontario for over 40 years and I've never heard of Cobalt. I don't think I'll be going to that show.

I saw this band once and the lead singer constantly made faces throughout the show. It was the most annoying thing he could have possibly been doing.

Totally backed. That dude is irritating to watch live. Even in their videos he is making faces. They released some good music in the mid 90's, but since then they have really dropped the ball.

i dont care..they may have made a few lame albums, but for me, gob will always be a snotty, immature, kickass punk band who released great albums like 'too late, no friends', 'how far shallow takes you', and 'ass seen on tv'...and for this reason, i'd still go see them play. also, some of their new stuff is good too. it was mainly 'the world according to...' that put me off them for a a bit.

I saw Gob headline a show in Montreal with Swingin Utters and Youth Brigade as the openers. Pretty much everyone left after the Utters but the band kept heckling the remainging few to come closer to the stage but nobody would...awkward.
