Pitchfork is hosting some covers and interviews with Ted Leo of Ted Leo And The Pharmacists and Brian Fallon of Gaslight Anthem. Both artists discuss their relationship with Bruce Springsteen and provide live covers of their selected tracks. Leo tackled "Dancing in the Dark" while Fallon took on "Backstreets."

Springsteen himself released some new music just last week, in the form of 2009's Working on a Dream.

When i first listened to The Greatest Story Ever Told, I was a Sophmore.

I've read a bunch of interviews where he talks about Joe Strummer and the Clash and stuff. He talks about how Strummer was something of a hero (or at least that's the sort of impression I was left with.) I remember finishing reading that and going, "wait, Bruce was doing this before the Clash existed by a few years." Still, the guy knows what's good.

Hungry Heart was originally written for the Ramones, but there weren't any hits on The River, so his manager made him do a slightly different version. It was his first top ten single.

I find them really catchy; turncoat, undergeround network, rank n file, all are really good songs. The thing that kills it for me is the lyrics and the predictability (in a bad way).

i always thought it was funny how Aus Rotten came out with The System Works for Them in 96. Then Andy left A-F and Aus Rotten took a hiatus and they did Human Investment in '97. Then in 1998 A-F puts out Their System Doesn't Work for You with Andy's songs from the '96 North America Sucks split with DBS (even though Andy wasn't in the band anymore) and some other garbage that justin and pat put together.

This article made me mad the first time I saw it, because, at the time, I thought the two of them covered the songs together. I was kind of disappointed when I realized they didn't. Then the videos took forever to load.
