Mike Ness gives another update on new Social Distortion album

Mike Ness has provided another update on progress towards the long-awaited new album from Social Distortion. In an interview with San Francisco Gate, Ness commented:

We really have to just concentrate on writing right now. We've played a lot in the past five years. It might be better to wait until we have the record and then get out and play that for people.

The group has remained very active with extensive tours over the past few years, but has not recorded a new studio album since Sex, Love and Rock 'n' Roll in 2004. The new full length is expected to be released in 2009.

I expect in three weeks to see a statement from him expressing "shock" that there is not only "a NORTHERN California?" but many other states as well.

Yeah, I thought it was one of the better "punk" films I've seen. It really captures some of the rawest parts of the punk scene that's essentially gone now.

yeah everything i found had conflicting information. like the year he was born and his age. also the press release says its from "girlie talk, the cramps media representatives" but they don't have the cramps listed in their clients on their web page.

Sworn In was like the British equivalent of AN. Count Me Out was great, Panic, or that Gibby dudes first band Trouble are all great as well.

Shook Ones are quite KD like. I would almost liken Modern Life is War to GUTG but it's more of a progression of that style. MLIW are totally worth the look in if you haven't already.
