But, it's the House Of Blues, and it's kind of hard to get me into that building. Do-able, but hard.

Butt-hurt. Nice. I'm gonna try to work that into my vocabulary. Lately I've been trying to use "jentacular" more. It means "relating to breakfast". As in "these eggs are jentacular, now get down on your knees and suck it".

Also, breakfast with my parents was always a traumatic experience.

Just kidding. Slayer is fucking talented as hell, I've just never really been into them. I had to ride in a car for 6+ hours where the driver played the same 6 or 7 Slayer songs the WHOLE drive. Never been able to listen to them after that.

I'm not that big on metal at all but I'm looking for something to build up my chops on guitar. I started on blink 182 and green day like most 12 year olds did, moved on to nofx, and then tackled bands like rufio and lagwagon. I feel like I've reached a point where I've pretty much conquered punk as a genre and I wanna move onto something a little more advanced which is why I've been listening to metal. Metallica is too elementary and dragonforce is too ridiculous. Slayer seemed like a happy medium.

A lot of Slayer fans hate it, but if you're a hardcore punk fan, start with Undisputed Attitude. It has Minor Threat, DI, and TSOL covers which are all really good. The classic, though, is Reign in Blood. I'm not a huge Slayer fan, but these are my somewhat educated opinions. A lot of their stuff is kinda samey, really, so I don't think there's a bad place to start.
