Bouncing Souls have posted the third in their monthly singles series. Titled "Airport Security," this is what Greg Attonito had to say about it:

A good love song is hard to come by..Most times they are corny and annoying...but the good ones are sooooo Good!! Airport Security is that attempt for me. Its a love song from me to my wife with a slice of a political statement/comic relief...but hopefully when the songs starts you forget about me, my wife, politics, comedy and yourself. If you do...it's a good love song.

I'm not sure if "a lot" is the right word, but just like with anything, I'm sure that a lot of black people can't stand this sort of crap. Many feel the same about gangster rap, Jesse Jackson, etc.

That is embarrassing. I guess it makes sense though, nothing else is really out so there are not a lot of people going to see the other stuff. And Tyler Perry's movies are geared towards a very specific fanbase...so they're the only ones really going to the movies the past couple weekends. Black comedies always do well especially when they have no real competition, despite how awful they always are.

i have picked up every souls cd/dvd etc. on its release date since i heard "say anything" on a punk o rama comp back in 97 or 98

seen them probably 20 times since that time as well.

i haven't bought these tracks, but will buy the vinyl when it comes out. its been really frustrating to wait, though.

Dude, these songs sound like something Celine Dion would do. At least the first two. It's like theyre trying to write sappy stadium-rock ballads. Maybe they'll grow on me, but as of now I'm not looking forward to hearing these new songs live in a couple weeks.

I definately hear that. The problem with this format is that every song has to be epic since there's only one per month. It's gonna be impossible to sit all the way through such an emotionally draining album when all 12 songs are out. There wont be the tension and release that all good albums have. That was the big problem with The Gold Record for me. All the songs are good, but together they dont make a good album. Maniacal Laughter is worse, song for song, but it makes a better album because it doesnt take itself so fucking seriously.

Yeah I agree that the Dropkicks draw in a lot of D-bags, there were a couple fights before the concert even started, but I've learned to block them out and enjoy the show

Saw them Thursday and got on stage for "Skinhead on the M.B.T.A." and "Citizen CIA". I no longer have to see them after that. Also, they did a good cover of "Badlands".
