Today, while getting dressed, Tony told me I was a "shirt first" kind of guy. I'm not sure what the hell that means,  I think it has something to do with camping. All 6 of us (Cheap Girls & Failures' Union, along with all the gear) are sharing my 1992 Chevy 20 luxury conversion van for the next 3 weeks.

Adam Aymor (CG): Guitar. You wouldn't believe the shit that comes outta this guy's mouth. Self-proclaimed twink.

Jason Draper (FU): Bass guitar. Tour celebrity.

Eric Ellman (FU): Drums. Loves Airheads (movie & candy). Brought more than one type of body spray.

Tony Flaminio (FU): Guitar, Vocals. Nine soft.

Ben Graham (CG): Drums. President of this whole operation.

Ian Graham (CG): Bass, Vocals. Skewed perspective. Amateur pharmacist.

 

 

On Friday, before meeting up with them at our Cincinatti show, we had a show with Mustard Plug and the Kincaids up in Mt. Pleasant, MI which ended up being such a great time that we got on the road about 2 hours late on Saturday.

 

We met up at Ben's a little after noon where we put our suitcases in the van, had some water, and watched the 45 minute mid-portion of Titanic. We departed from Lansing close to 2 p.m. and headed towards Cincinatti. We were all incredibly excited as we had heard a lot of positive things about about the Flora house and we were looking forward to seeing our friends in Tin Armor and Delay. Failures' Union brought us a $12 carton of "Buffalo" cigarettes, our new shirts that Jason made, along with the covers to the split tour 7". Unfortunately, the real ones weren't made in time so we have 40 test presses that we're selling. The show went great, lots of kids, and we stayed with our friend Lazy D in Kentucky afterwards.

 

We left Covington around 2:00 pm to head towards Nashville. We arrived here at 7:30, set up, played for a dozen kids, etc. Failures' Union were particularly good last night and we're starting to figure out a good balance of old/new songs. Our friend Joe Reilly met up with us at the show and took us to a bar a few blocks away where Tony totally blew it with some girl he had just met. Joe used to live in Detroit and play in Blueprint 76 a lot with our old bands and then moved back to Nashville to play with the Pink Spiders. It's been a couple years since we've seen him so that was a good touch. He bummed half a pack of cigarettes and went back to work while we went to bed.
