Thrice continue to blog extensively as they work on their next album. The latest posting confirms that the band has completed some songs and also done some interviews about their "writing and recording process."

if anything everything from artist in the ambulance and before is boring. it all sounds exactly the same. you probably need to broaden your horizons in terms of what you listen to 1+ Reply

What I love most about this band is how they've got albums that appeal to just about all of my "punk/rock" tastes on my musical spectrum. I've actually been listening to "The Illusion of Safety" a lot lately, but before it was almost strictly The Alchemy Index albums and their live album.

Alchemy Index sucked; too many songs sounded forced, like they felt they had to write a "fire" song just to fill up the fire disc 3+ Replies

Just upgraded to the newer version of iTunes last night, and I'm pretty impressed with the Genius Playlist feature. For the most part, the playlist it makes are pretty good.

Quicksand's unreleased LP is pretty great. It combines the more rockin parts of Rival Schools with a bit of the weirdness that Quicksand was more associated with. I wish Walter had finished it--could've been really great. 1+ Reply

I'm easily the most stoked person for this. Everything they have done has been amazing. Except for a few songs here and there. But fuck, I love this band. 3+ Replies
