An Evening with Jack Terricloth (World/Inferno Friendship Society)

Jack Terricloth of World/Inferno Friendship Societyhas announced "The Midnight Formals," a series of events in New York City featuring the the NYC premiere of his intimate evening of punk-noir and song featuring multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Sandra Malak to the Pub for four rounds only.

The event will take place at Joe's Pub on 425 Lafayette Street in New York on May 1st, 8th, 16th and 22nd.

He did this recently in Philly. He read stories from his book (very entertaining) and played acoustic versions of Sticks and Stones songs (made me dig out all their old records and fall in love with them all over again). It is well worth checking out.

I'd say start with Addicted to Bad Ideas and work your way back. The albums needed to grow on me at first, but now I listen to them pretty regularly. Any chance you get to see them live, do it. Their live show is incredible.

Red Eyed Soul is there most straight forward album. Much most song based than their albums which follow stories. Some of their older stuff is great but I noticed after hearing the new stuff that the production lags.

Addicted to Bad Ideas is definitely their most accessible. Red Eyed Soul is a rad album but it's a little long for someone just checking the band out.

You're in for a treat. They are SO much fun live. Drink lots, first. Franz is usually chugging from a whiskey bottle the whole show anyway.
