The Warped Tour Documentary to premiere this month

The Grammy Museum has announced plans to host the premiere screening of The Warped Tour, a forthcoming documentary about the longest-running music festival in the United States. The premiere is set to Wednesday, April 29, 2009; 7:30 pm.

Along with the film, the venue will host a discussion with Warped Tour's Kevin Lyman, director Jonathan Rach, members of Warped Tour band Fishbone, and other special guests. The event will close with a live performance by the The Phenomenauts.

Admission is $10.00; $5.00 for Museum members (call the Membership Department at 213.765.6800 ext. 4).

That's ok, not as good as Fringe or LOST and shit. It's watchable, but if it got cancelled tomorrow I wouldn't care at all or feel annoyed at the unresolved storyline.

The only bands worth checking out this year on the Minneapolis date: Anti-Flag, Bad Religion, Big D and the Kids Table, Bouncing Souls, Gallows, P.O.S., Less Than Jake, Streetlight Manifesto, TAT, the A.K.A.s, Westbound Train.

I don't know.... is that enough to go check out? Anti-Flag is really just a big maybe, but fuck... no Flogging Molly or NoFX there this year?

I've been thinking of going to this music fest they have closer to my location because Atmosphere, William Elliot Whitmore, Junior Brown and Wilco are playing.

I'd wait until we hear what the set up is like this year from one of the first dates. They already said there's only one main stage, so if that means you're going to have to run around and skip the Bouncing Souls to check out TAT (unless they're larger than I thought they were), then it may not be worth it.

I'm also confused by the lack of NOFX, it's been 3 years.

I think warped can be fun if there are some decent bands (I'm skipping this year, because TX aint getting any good shit).

But you sound like just the existance of warped is bothering you. It's not like there are warped tour tv commercials and billboards. Aside from this site, it's pretty easy to ignore.
