Blink 182 performing on The Tonight Show Monday and Tuesday

In even more Blink 182 reunion news, bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus has announced via his twitter account that the band will be performing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on both Monday and Tuesday this week.

The band also recently announced tour dates with Weezer and Fall Out Boy, launched a teaser video for said tour, began work on a new album, and gave cryptic details about a recent 'video' shoot.

I actually like Jay Leno. I will miss his spot on the Tonight Show. I wonder if he do his usual monologues and shit on his new show. The jokes are so corny and shit but I love it.

am i wasting my money paying more money for CDs at a small independent record store? Ex. For $17.99 + tax I picked up the new Depeche Mode album at Bionic Records in Cypress, CA. They used to have 3 locations including one pretty close to me, but they've downsized to just 1 like 20-30 minutes away. My other option was to pay $9.99 at Best Buy or Target but I feel like that's contributing to the demise of the independent record store. Wal-Mart is something like the biggest seller of music in the country and they only have a limited selection of hits & recent releases. I think that sort of model is shitty and will turn independent record stores into dinosaur fossils. Is this a worthy cause to support, or am I wasting my money? I'm just one person. I'm not crazy about Bionic Records but they're the only independent record store left in my general vicinity. If they close the l

I usually only buy from vinyl collective or from the band at the show. because that is what is both cheap and convenient. When I do go by the indie stores though I rarely see anything for more than $12 or so which is fine. I would never pay $18+ for

If I had money to burn then sure I'd buy a $20 cd from an independent record store to make myself feel good about helping them stay in business even though I could get it for $10 elsewhere. But given my and probably most peoples financial situations, I'd rather look out for myself first before a record store, so if I need to buy an album I will buy it from wherever is cheapest. Which usually means VC or waiting for the band to come around.

When I lived someplace that had a local record store, I always just judged it on a case-by-case basis.

Usually for me if the difference was within $5, I'd be willing to spend a little more from the indie store.

These days though, my choices are Target, Barnes and Noble, or online directly from the band or label, so 99% of my purchases are online.

Besides supporting the scene, buying a record from a local store is just a better experience from an atmosphere standpoint.

2) Here in Boston, Newbury Comics was selling the new DM CD for $8 I believe the week it came out.

I say the indie stores are definitely worth saving.

yeah Newbury Comics is real good on prices especially with new releases and their used sections are usually pretty stacked- I bought "Viva Hate" for $5!

This is the new digital age, support the bands and stop worrying about supporting someone store. Rememebr, no matter how independent they are they're still there just to sell you stuff not as a free personal service.

Within 5 years, Best Buy won't even have CDs on the floor, so I'd say buying anywhere is worth doing.

Adam's Song made that suicide by the guy from Columbine who was a top rated basketball player in the state laughable, sorry.

don't throw it out yet. There are shops that do data recovery even on "crashed" hard drives. I would try and check it out. I'm not familiar with it, but my friend used to do it for work.

Whoa, you don't own any music at and you had 27 gigs? That sounds very, very low.

My netbook i purchased 6 months ago already have 20 gigs of mp3's.I download approx 4-5 records per week and ripped about 30 of my own + a few (albeit not huge) discographies when a first got it. So 27 gigs on 10 years sounds very, very sparse for someone who doesn't by music in any form.

Isn't 311 and pink floyds discographies around 10 gigs alone? ;)

I have a ton of cd's/vinyl, just nothing really purchased from 1999 on. I am very particular about what I keep and msot shit I listen to I can't stand.

Also, there will be no recovery since I already went ahead and reinstalled my OS.

If you had it on an ipod, you can put it all into your computer from that. It works as a external harddrive. They make it a pain in the ass because they don't want you to use it as one, but it's doable, just takes a while.
