Rancid have posted another new song from their forthcoming full length. The record is titled Let the Dominoes Fall and is due out June 2, 2009.

There used to be a really good band from Logan, UT called Throwaway Generation. They sounded kinda like the Swingin Utters little brothers or something. I put them up in Oakland, and they were wicked nice asking for water and I let them eat all my food too. I heard there drummer passed away, and that made me sad.

I liked it too. Although the solo in Last One To Die is kinda eh simple. Tim used to have awesome solo's. It sounds a lot like Indestructible too

Now bring out the reggae, ska, dub and harmonica and organs and Ruggiero and Booker T

the strangest thing just happened to me. i clicked the link to listen to this song, and as soon as it started playing, i couldn't see in color anymore. everything was black and white all of a sudden. not only that, but it was like the greys were all washed out, as if someone jacked up the contrast.

did this happen to anyone else?

the song's over now, and the color is slowly coming back...

Clearly he was being sarcastic. The statement kinda bothers me. Does he not realize that some of his biggest fans visit and comment on the site as well? Just because we're not pleased with the new songs doesn't mean that we weren't big fans before.

Sorry, I just had to rant about this somewhere.

I know I'm being a little bit too argumentative now by switching my main point, but is it wrong for one member of a band to sarcastically comment about how his band's fans that don't like their new songs? I just don't see doing that as rude, troublesome, mean, insulting, offensive, or any kind of wrong at all.

If you like anthemic Midtempo Punk, Rockablilly, Ska, Reggae, Dub: Life Won't Wait

Get ...And Out Come the Wolves first. Then get Life Won't Wait. From those two you can decide whether or not you like them. Wolves is one of the best punk albums made in my opinion, top ten for sure.

And Out Come the Wolves is one of my favorite albums ever and I really think one of the best punk albums of all time. Let's Go and Life Won't Wait are both awesome too, but for different reasons. I'd say eventually get all 3 of those and skip out on the others.

If you like this stuff and the last album go for 'and out come the wolves'.

Otherwise, life wont wait and the 2000 album are the way forward, all three are worth it for Matt Freeman's bass playing alone.

Who here gets the collector's edition? It looks like a nice set, but it's 150$ US. Really expensive. Think of all the better CDs and the better-quality music I could get for that much. I think I'll have to pass, unless they decide to be more reasonable with their price.

Honestly, the reason I can complain is because I think Rancid (and that is more than just Tim) have made some great music over the years, they have released two of my favourite records and had a strong back catalogue.

Now the sound has degenerated into this lazy Rancid by numbers bullshit that shows none of the essence that made Rancid stand out from the crowd previously. Anything that has come from the Tim Armstrong catalogue since 2000 has none of the immediacy or musicianship of the previous stuff, its just middle of the road mid tempo crap, the Transplants were fucking abysmal and that solo project was a waste of recording time.

I keep listening in the hope that he'll come to his senses and write some decent material (or start listening to Lars more and remember he has a decent bass player). So I'm gutted that there's yet another Rancid album that's
