Media: Darkest Hour: "Devolution of the Flesh"

Darkest Hour have posted another new song from their forthcoming album. The record is titled The Eternal Return and is due out June 23, 2009. It is their first since Deliver Us in 2007 and also marks the debut of guitarist Mike "Lonestar" Carrigan who replaces longtime guitarist Kris Norris who left the band last year.

I shouldn't be asking you this, but I can either see The Aggrolites on Wed next week or the Menzingers on Thursday.

I can't decide which show to attend... gaah!

Hmm...well I think what it would boil down too for me, if I liked both those bands, which I'm just not all that acquainted the Aggrolites, is if I'd seen one of the bands before I'd go to the other show.

Also, who has the better overall card? All I know is Broadway Calls are playing with the Menzingers, and I like them okay, so the other band would have to have a lot better of a card.

If Broadway Calls is playing in Austin that would probably seal the deal for me... I'll need to check into that.

One big positive for The Aggrolites is there are always a lot of cute girls at a ska show.

If it's the one I'm thinking too, I've only been to it once. I remember it being really weird. Like their door was kind of...strange. I can't explain it. I also remember it being like, REALLY dark in there. But I could be thinking of a different venue other than the Phix.

It's ok, it's cheap as fuck, lots of hot girls, and no traffic but its hot as hell and there are a lot of hillbillies driving pickup trucks around everywhere. Especially where I work in North Mesa. It's just different seeing I lived all my life (24 years) in LA before I came out here.

Pickups are a huge theme all throughout Arizona, be it the hillbilly variety, or the dudes that rock that tapout stickers everywhere...it's different. It really is.
