Seattle, WA's Narrows have posted a new video. "Gypsy Kids" comes from the band's recently released album, New Distances, and was directed by Craig Murray (My Black Cat).

I don't care for baseball either, but Bad News Bears is my favorite baseball movie. The old one with Walter Matthau. On a different subject entirely, my favorite Walter Matthau movie is Pirates by Roman Polanski. I wish they sold it in the US.

Where is the review of this?? I suck at reviewing and was banking on my local record stores on having this the day it came out, otherwise I would have attempted to review it by now. Furthermore, I ordered it awhile ago and had it accidently sent to one of my old college addresses. The EP and one song I know on this are fucking great.

5 cup(s) low-sodium chicken broth
2 cup(s) water
1 pound(s) dried red lentils
1 onion, chopped
3 clove(s) garlic, chopped
2 teaspoon(s) ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
2 tablespoon(s) extra-virgin olive oil
1 pound(s) fresh chorizo or hot Italian sausage links
4 cup(s) baby spinach

In a 5-quart soup pot, bring broth, water, lentils, onion, garlic, cumin, and cayenne pepper to a boil; reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 25 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chorizo or sausage links and cook 12 to 15 minutes, or until fully cooked. When cool enough to handle, cut chorizo into slices. Add to soup, along with spinach, and cook 3 to 4 minutes longer, until spinach is wilted.

that sounds fucking awesome. i basically do the same thing except i add more veggies (corn, peppers/onions, cilantro, diced tomato) and it's usually either red kidney beans or black beans instead of lentils. it's like succotash chili jambalaya craziness.

the spinach is intriguing tho. i haven't cooked with spinach in awhile.

Everything fresh from the cheap ass farmer's market, too. Half pound of spinach for $4 (the rest of it went into a huge salad). Pound of sausage for $3. Three huge vidalia onions for $1.50. Kick ass is right.
