Videos: Cursive: "I Couldn't Love You"

Cursive have posted the new video from their 2009 album, Mama, I'm Swollen. The video features Tania Raymonde (Alex Linus on 'Lost') and appears to show the hunt for a runaway bride. Frontman Tim Kasher explained:

The idea for the video is a gross exaggeration of the 'trophy wife' concept -- grooms hunting down brides, hanging wedding pictures over the mantel next to a deer head. This video is more about shotguns and hair brushing than about marriage or sex.

How could you not like Swollen?
Sure, it's less punk-rock or w/e you choose to call it, but it still shows that Cursive is something completely original. I don't even think Domestica was the best anyway. The last three albums surpassed it by a far.

People just keep hatin' new music.

I suppose that's to me. BUT my favorites fluctuate between Domestica and The Ugly Organ depending on my mood. I don't hate music, I even love newer AFI. I just find the newer album dragging a little bit. I don't hate it, I like it, it's just disappointing to me.

I'm on your side yummy. My favorite album also stands strong with domestica, but fuckme if Swollen isn't an amazing piece of work musically. I cant say Tim has released anything I don't like, but Mama I'm Swollen is my favorite in a long while.

This album fucking rules my world. Didn't like it at first, then the more i listened to it the more everything clicked. It's near perfect. Cursive are better then sleep
