North Shore, MA's Transit will be heading out on tour with Balance and Composure and Man Overboard in the month of August. The band last released Stay Home earlier this year.

I will most likely get to see Transit 4 times this summer. I may be the happiest old man in all the land. The "Stay Home" EP and the Such Gold demo EP are my records of the year so far. I did just hear the Castevet full length for the first time today (that reminds me, I gotta order it from CYLS right now before I forget), and it could conceivably be up there too after a few more listens to let it sink in.

Summer Fences isn't only the record of the year, it's the record of all time. There are some very promising releases coming up this summer and fall, but they won't beat it. Also, Transit > Such Gold, though the latter isn't bad at all. Judging by their new song, Title Fight should put out a wicked full length... though 2/3 of the songs are just slapped on from older releases, so if they didn't re-record them the record'll be a letdown.

Back when I was in high school Cinimax would show soft core porn in the middle of the night (they might still do it, but I don't have any premium channels anymore), and every once in a while it'd be a spoof porn movie and they were all great. You're right about what it's like in the men's room. Dead silence. No one looking someone else in the eye. I was at work last week and had this couple at the bar. They had eaten lunch at the Hancock building in chicago, 95th floor. They showed me the view of the city from the woman's restroom on their phone and generally compared the aesthetics of the woman's to the men's. Complete opposites. So it's not just people's actions.
