i got kicked in the skull at a municipal waste show last wednesday and felt fine following (aside from being totally hammered) ... 3 days later i got a terrible fever and headache ... now the spot where i got kicked is killing me and i can't seem to get out of the house. i just sit and sleep and hurt all day.

do i have a concussion? i don't have health insurance, so make sure you're certain before you tell me i'm fucked and should see a doctor.

it was worth it, btw, as long as i don't die anytime soon. municipal waste sure fucked me up though.

Have you been taking any medicine for it? Is the spot swollen or bruised?

My general rule of thumb is that if 3 or 4 days of taking acetaminophen doesn't cure it, time to see a doctor.

Do you have any friends or family members with insurance? Best way to scam it is to bring their wallet and just take out the things with photos. Like "Of course this is my insurance card! Look, I have credit cards, my social security card, etc. must have left my license at home."

i just took a couple advil for the first time since it happened and i'm feeling slightly better... i have an appetite for the first time in 2 days ... not a bad scam idea either

Yeah, I had to do it a couple times when I didn't have insurance. And most places have receptionists that don't give a shit as long as they get the money (make sure you have the copay), and don't want to be liable if it is something serious and they denied you care.

Also, works better if you go to the emergency room instead of an office. Then the "I must of forgot it" excuse works better. It's an emergency, right?

fever and headache doesn't sound like a concussion. blurred vision and confusion are usually indicators of concussions. how badly did you get hit? sounds more like some kind of infection or something.

dragonforce are funny for about 3 minutes. aside from that, they're obviously talented, but it's like too much of a good thing with all their songs. everything is so overblown and over the top.

Dragonforce with Sonata Arctica should be amazing! Sonata Arctica is a more melodic, less cheesy version of Dragonforce. They have an outstanding keyboard player! Unfortunately I hear their awesome guitarist has left the band for some time.....don't know if he'll be back or not.
