Dinosaur Jr. have launched a stream of their forthcoming album on Jagjaguwar. Farm is due out June 23, 2009.

It's streaming on their myspace page.

You never saw Into The Wild? It's a great movie, even though I WAS supposed to read the book first. But oh well. Have you not seen it because you have political differences with Sean Penn?

Vedder's music is one of the factors that makes it a great movie though! Besides, you hear him sing just a few times. Plus Vince Vaughn and Zach Gallafanakis are on there as farmers in South Dakota.

that was a mistake. I avoided the soundtrack too because of eddie vedder but I changed my mind after I watched the movie..those songs fit perfectly and they are actually pretty good.

Anyone ever read Dinotopia as a kid? I don't remember the words or if it was good at all, but it was illustrated, and those pictures were like a different world for me. I wish I still had that version.

If you haven't, The Land Before Time is cool too.

transformers the animated movie is still the sickest movie ever and i fuckin hate cartoons. i get goosebumps just thinking about it. the tv series was so good to watch before soccer on saturday morning it gave me the inspiration i needed to be the best. the toys were the best strongest toys i ever had and they would fuck up anything. the new movie was ok too.. i couldnt understand how anyone could not like it.

Hats off to these three fellows who have seen the ups and downs of being in a major rock band, getting signed to a major label, having fame, fans and fortune, had a few members changes, took a break and now are back and aimed to knock you on YOUR ASS. Of course, like me, this band had the same path as Yellowcard, of course Dinosaur Jr. never played on an MTV Awards show or sold as many records as Yellowcard, but Yellowcard is back! They just released a teaser digital only EP on Capital Record. It came on June 16th, 2009 and has 4 songs that WHILE MAKE YOUR SUMMER. What are you waiting for?

I've been confused for a while, just restless, mopey, not going anywhere. It took 4 songs released two days ago to wash all those fears away. Here are some lyrical jams from the 1st song called "Down On My Head", see if you can relate:

"I never thought I would wake up in bed

I respect your opinion, but that's just it, when Ryan sings the words, there is just something extra. Every power chord he hits, and every cymbal that is crashed and every bass note that is plucked and every violin chord that is struck, it just culminates into this giant orgasmic sound (for the ears). Trying to pigeonhole the lyrics without hearing Ryan belt them out is like talking about water without saying it's wet, you just can't do it and would be crazy not to.

Ryan obviously had his heart broken and on the 2nd of the 4 songs on the digital only EP released on Capital Records on June 16th, 2009, he wrote these lyrics, maybe these are more your style? The song is called Avondale.

wow only one post on this entire page has to do with the actual album. This is a great album....and the more you listen, the better it gets. 'Your Weather', 'Plans', 'Over It', 'I Don't Wanna Go There', and 'Imagination Blind' are all instant Dinosaur Jr. classics.

i love this shit. i saw them at the music farm in charleston(sc) with mike watt(awesome) a while ago. i was blown away. these guys still got it. maybe now more than ever. great stuff.
