Saviours announce three 7-inches, new album

Saviours, which features members of High On Fire, Samiam and Yaphet Kotto, have announced a trio of new 7-inches to be released on June 23, 2009. The band is also planning a new full length.

The as-yet untitled album is due out October 13, 2009 and promises: "insanely dynamic songs boasting passages containing three part guitar harmonies." The band has posted "Acid Hand," the title track from one of the limited 7-inches and you can find that here.

Who from these bands is associated? Samiam mixed with Yaphet Kotto does not compute.

...And High On Fire between that?!

So weird, but I bet it's pretty good. I know there were one guy in Samiam who wanted the last full length to "sound like the Jesu record".. Probably that guy.

It's possible 1 of the guys played in HonF at some point, since they're both from the bay area and HonF kind of has a rotating cast of bass players, but I'd never heard that.

Aren't these guys a metal band? I'm sure I've seen a band called Saviours play with either Megadeth or Mastodon that a) was definitely metal, which would be surprising coming from a band comprising a member of Samiam and b) had more than 3 members
