Garage-rock hero Wavves has posted a new video for the song "No Hope Kids" shot by Pete Ohs. The video features footage of the band "touring Europe and simultaneously hanging out at playgrounds, doing email interviews, smoking stuff, drinking other stuff, eating breakfast foods and generally rocking out." Check it out below.

The track comes from the Fat Possum Records re-release of the LP Wavvves.

My friends Emily, Griffin, and Dustin just left for the rest of their tour. If you live in the Northwest or anywhere between Seattle and Chicago, you should check it out. The bands are Y Lime?, Wabash, and Dustin & The Furniture. They're all great.

Couchsurfing.com is the greatest thing on the internet. I've visited 5 people so far and they've all been absolutely awesome people. Hosted once too and it was fine too. You do kinda feel like a dick for visiting people though so I tend to leave gifts behind based on their profile.

I'm seriously contemplating pulling a Mike Hale come August... Just not alone, I'm not hardcore enough for that.

It's superweird, because I don't like the general idea of it at all, but it's a very strict community, all the people involved are super nice, extremly helpful and just loves meeting people.

It's not about being too cheap for a hotel room, it's just alot more fun to hang out with people who are really into meeting new people and making every day awesome. As I said, I've only done it 5 times and only 2 of those were when being alone, but my experiences has been nothing short of remarkable. I almost backed out of the first one I did by myself but just 10 minutes into arriving to that house we were in a dark basement full of awesome posters and show flyers jamming 3-chord hardcore on crappy equipment.

I didn't really care about it before, but damn, I've wasted alot of money on hotels over the last few years.

Hmm, that kinda falls in the "too cheap for a hotel" bunch for me since you'll be gone all day and just come home and crash. If you use it for The Fest, schedule in an extra day or two and make sure that it's as enjoyable for your host as it is for you.

This interview is hilarious. The interviewer is horrible. Russ Rankin is the last guy I would want to interview. Not because he sucks or anything, but I feel like he could make me feel like a dumbass in 30 different ways. And his stare alone is enough to make me piss myself. 2:10 is awesome.

It's pop punk. IMO, one of the most underrated pop punk bands of their time. Very melodic. Riffy guitars. Extremely passionate vocals. Kinda some Ataris. Kinda some Get Up Kids. Just that whole pop punk deal. If your just going to download a couple songs, make it: Halfway Decent, Gypsyqueen, A Whole Lotta Weight, Get What You Deserve Inc., Hey Maria and Catch and Release.

I think I'm starting to Panic! at the fact that the Swellers signed to FBR. I'm so stoked for them. I've been going to their shows for 4 or 5 years now and have loved their music thus far and it's awesome to get signed by such a big name label. I keep telling myself, "Nah, there's no way they'll start making really shitty pop music." But LOOK AT THE BANDS ON FBR! Ahh. And yeah I liked their newest song but just the fact that it has FBR stamped on it gives me a weird feeling. And who the fuck is that new bass player? Brad was a cool dude. Me and him had a moment singing Polar Bear Club together. Anyway, while I'm a little worried, I got faith that Nick and Jono won't make really terrible music. Slower? Less punk? Maybe, but it won't be bad.

My best friend was on two seasons ago, and I can tell you right now that they certainly don't pay a "shit load" of money. It's scraps, at best, considering how long you're away from being able to maintain a normal job. The club appearance thing might last for the few weeks during the actual show - beyond that, your not even a D-list celebrity at that point.

You might pay for a semester or two.

So not only did I see Joey Cape last night, I got to meet the guy. I was waiting at the door and he just walked out to smoke. We talked for about 15 minutes and I tried my hardest not to let the excited 15 year old girl come out of me. I was bummed when he mentioned that Lagwagon pretty much has no plans of making a new album anytime soon but I was stoked to hear that after this tour, he's going home to make a new solo record. And the Playing Favorites are supposed to do some new stuff as well. He also did mention how he's gets tired of everything and sometimes wants to just hang out with his daughter and watch her grow up. Damn. Great show. John Snodgrass was obviously awesome. And hearing Cory Branan for the first time was awesome. The guy puts on a great show. Cape played 20+ songs. I got the set list. Yes.
