I never understood the name of this label. Metal Blade? What other types of blades can there possibly be?

a circular saw with a diamond blade is used in masonry...

If you want to get down to brass tacks it actually is a metal blade that is just diamond tipped. A better example would be when Wesley Snipes played the character Blade. He wasn't made of metal.

we both know this as fact.

to the public however, they are mainly advertised as 'diamond blades'.
