Greg Graffin (Bad Religion) discusses plans for 2010

In his newly launched Twitter Profile, Doctor Greg Graffin of UCLA and Bad Religion has posted some of his plans for 2010:

2010 goals: new book, new album, new TV show. Right now: work toward each of them whilst on the Warped Tour.

Bad Religion is currently on the Warped Tour.

Gonna be great....apparently Greg is filming his own TV show called "Punk Professor"...deals with biological and evolutionary issues....looks really interesting. New album should be fantastic and I'm curious to read Graffin's book......I have read quite a few books on the subject of Naturalism (which is the best explanation for our world, as far as I'm concerned) and I am looking forward to seeing Greg's viewpoint.

Stoked for the book... new record? Eh... maybe.. Last one was better the the 3 before it, so quite possibly...
I figured it was only natural that these guys would have stuck it out (not releasing a new record, I mean)until this particular year to really beat people into submission.

Are people still excited for a new BR album (I'm assuming it's them and not another solo Graffin record)? I personally liked New Maps of Hell despite the excessive production, but I know a lot of people hated it.

New Maps was their best since Against the Grain as far as I'm concerned....and this is coming from a guy who loves every record (including Into the Unknown, No Substance and New America...all fantastic.)

Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised at how many other people really liked New Maps of Hell, too. Aside from Submission Complete I thought it was pretty fucking great; definitely one of my most-listened-to albums of 2007 or whenever it came out.

I wore a bad religion shirt to an airport one time (post 9/11). Didn't realize how bad an idea that was until I was already there... but I was just dropping off someone and although I went inside I didn't have to go through security so it was not a problem. Still think it's funny. People look confusedly at me when I my Jesus and Mary Chain shirt these days...

Okay, when you make dinner plans with someone and they say "call you in a sec" a literal second is all it should take. Not 40 damn minutes later. I'm starving.

Dinner plans here in SF consist of meeting up for drinks at some bar, then going to the restaurant, having more drinks while waiting for the food, eat, then order coffee and sit around for a bit, smoke a joint, and then go out to another bar for the cap.
That is a dinner plan.....

The Empire Strikes First is one of my favourite records ever.

Bad Religion are another one of those bands that I never really listen to, but when it comes on at a party, or when my mp3 player is on random, or when you hear it in the background somewhere, or in Clerks, I fuckin love it.

The Overture on The Empire Strikes First is awesome.
