To coincide with the release of their brand new DVD, Reel Big Fish have provided us with some special live footage. The record is titled Live! In Concert! and is due out tomorrow, July 21, 2009.

The songs are "Sell Out (Live)" and "Another F.U. Song (Live)."

I went and saw Andrew Jackson Jihad and Bomb the Music Industry last week. It was an amazing show!. Completely unrelated to Reel Big Fish, but worth mentioning anyway. I was unfamiliar with BTMI, but their set made me a fan.

I knew you'd be all over this. To be fair, I think "Sell Out" is a great song. It's the kids music they put out all around it that turns me off.

No, the AAA doesn't wuss out and abbreviate swear words. Also, I thought it was a cover of the AAA song at first and listened to it for 10 seconds to find out it wasn't. With hindsight, I'm glad it's not a cover, but I'm mad I wasted 10 seconds listening to this. And then wasted more time writing this.

So they've abandoned the concept of being actual musicians/songwriters and are content to just keep reliving 1997 over and over again until they break up?

When they did 'Cheer Up!' (which I liked, I'll admit) and they at least *tried* to act like something other than a fluke novelty band, it wasn't *great*, but it was something. These videos are just sad to watch...the ska-punk equivalent of watching middle-aged A Flock of Seagulls keep doing their hair up, slapping on legwarmers and playing 'I Ran' repeatedly into 2010.
