I really enjoy this album. Not as good as the last one, but how could it be? The songwriting here is very good.

Here's to hoping more people get into Above Them this year because they're like BOOM RIGHT IN YOUR FACE when you click on bands and he's got a Young Livers shirt. Their full length will sit near the top of my year-end list, once I hear it.

Your loss. I felt the same way when I lived in Gainesville during 5 and had no clue what the fest was. My friends had to convince me to go and it change my life forever.

The thing is, pretty much any fest gets old, quick. I've been to more than my share. There just isn't much variety at all (there wasn't a single band on that list that surprised me) in that list. At least with something like SxSW, it's super all over the map. This is just like a collection of bands I'd expect to see together, and could see 2 or 3 together on the same tour in my local area. There's really no "holy shit" factor in that, at least for me. I know that the Fest is the mecca for most of the posters here, and I guess that's cool. I just think it's pretty mundane.
