Hey Luke! Yeah, I asked the venue and it turns out they're pretty strict about it. It's a Chicago curfew thing. I'm told that if you come accompanied with your guardian or whatever, you CAN get in. My honest suggestion: borrow an ID.

A combination between their incredible hooks and above-par vocal harmonies that you rarely hear executed this way in punk rock and the fact they're from PA -- the new mecca for emotional music. I can understand not liking them but not "getting" the hype is silly.

It took me a really long time to get into them, FWIW. Vocals were off putting at times. But now I can't get enough.

Also, someone else yesterday told me they were hyped and I swear I had no idea. I don't even really see much hype about them here at the Org.

Really dig it.

I listened to the new Thrice last night. It's like nothing they've ever done before. If you didn't like them before and your a big fan of punk music, you most likely will hate them even more. It's pretty much Muse. Any sense of that dark feel they had is essentially gone. It's weird.

Hmm... I think the people on here would like it a lot more than the old stuff I've heard. Take me for example. Sure there's some slow tracks, but I mean punknewsers love The Gaslight Anthem and all that alt-country stuff. The loud tracks are excellent 'gruff post-hardcore'. Maybe I'm just listening differently because I'm not familiar with the band.

The people over at If You Make It are doing something REALLY awesome, and they happen to be going through a rough time with money (what a fucking surprise), so if if any of you cheap bastards out there could through them a few spared pennies, that'd be cool.
