Sub Pop Records recently spoke to Rolling Stone about their plans to bring much of their catalogue to Rock Band 2.
Sub Pop A&R executive Tony Kiewel says that the label is looking at converting its entire catalog, which includes early Nirvana, the Postal Service, Sunny Day Real Estate, Pissed Jeans, Mudhoney, Soundgarden, Seaweed, The Shins and countless others. Kiewel concludes by noting that he sees Rock Band 2 as " a 'release' as far as I'm concerned. This'll be another format alongside vinyl and CD." Sub Pop Records (30 comments)

So you would pay full price, but would yu get a free download to accompany your rock band tracks? I am not paying for a format that i cant listen to outside of my tv.

Are they thinking about making an iMac controller to play the Postal Service songs? 2+ Replies

It's easy to slam this move, since all these guitar games are declining in sales like crazy and are running out of time..but.. 2+ Replies

Shit, for a second I thought this said Sub City. I would rock the shit out of some Fifteen, especially that grotesquely ripping solo in "Lucky"

Those Postal Service guitar riffs and chords would be pretty tough to master.

The fucked up part is that you can only get 100% on Nirvana songs by smashing the bass into your face or by totaling the drum set at the end. 1+ Reply

I've got my Gaunt records out again. They're as good as they were ten(ish) years ago. Anyone else like em.
