Media: Panic! at the Disco: "New Perspective"

Panic! at the Disco have unveiled their new single, "New Perspective," at their MySpace page. It's the band's first new material since half their lineup was gutted last month. The song will appear on the soundtrack to the upcoming Cody Diablo film, "Jennifer's Body," the former of which is due out August 25 on Fueled by Ramen.

The band has also brought back the exclamation point in their name, as shown by the specific depiction of the band name in this very post.

Yeah the delivery is just as important as the substance. I'd practice a lot by yourself until you have it down like an act, just like a stand up comedian would do.

I've done it a bunch. I really don't get it, but people think I'm good at it. My main tip would be to just losen up and get into character, even if you're not supposed to have one. I usually go into a Black Preacher voice mode which just makes me sound like a combination between a WWE wrestler stopping a fight to join in and a smurf on crack.

Also, if you're navigating between parts; start out every part or change with repeating a descriptive keyword a few times, steering the tone more towards the emotion the part needs.

We just need a really fat dude doing the kick drum. Wouldn't that be hilarious? I've seriously talked about that for at least 8 years.. Imagine a acapella grind band, with a huge (madball huge) being wheeled in on a platform at the usual kit-spot and he's just standing there, pissed as hell, doing the kickdrum, beatbox style.

Unless I'm missing some meme, it sounds like a awesome time.I actually recently did that exact thing 2 weeks ago, except that I myself don't drink and that we kinda went over to Born Against after a few hours and ended up having a John Reis marathon the following eight hours but I'm sure that's not too alien to you either!

It was the perfect combo because you're just convert into a lowlife crust scum bitch when you hear Discharge, then add a few IQ points when you're listening to Born Against, while still keeping the political edge, but when Yank Crime kicks in you're just fucking killing yourself and everything in sight.

Oohh. :) Sorry. It's just so ridiculously far removed so I didn't even draw the connection. It wasn't even a gradual transition, they got some money from Thrice in 2002, released like 10 records in 3 years and then just came back as a pure pop label complete with manufactured acts.. It's just so ridiculously alienating.

It's funny how much I used to like Fearless and Hopeless back then and how fucking ridiculous both labels rosters are now.

Something similar happened to me about six months ago. I was simultaneously pursuing a super punx rox chick and a burgeoning hipster. I always made copies of the tapes I made because they took so much effort and hey, why not? I just thought it was funny that you could tell which was for whom based on whether it had the US Bombs or My Bloody Valentine on it. These days those kinds of bands end up on the same tape/CD mix.

My generation is missing the concept of a mix. I have no one to give anything to because they just download shit off blogspots. Since I have an obssession with track flow and themes, I make myself mixes on made up scenerios. Oh, on Windows Media player because Itunes is the devil.

Really? Does everybody listen on shuffle? Because when I use my mp3 players I prepare playlists and it's not that bad.Yeah, I'm also obsessed with flowing and ebbing. CD Burners used to be really expensive (like $400+) so I didn't get one until I hit 16, so I didn't really have any other choice.

I started buying old walkmans in 2004 and giving them away, including batteries and headphones with my mixtapes. It's funny how listening to a mixtape feel so much more real than just downloading and clicking mp3s. Then again, I remember ordering a catalouge and waiting 6 weeks for a record to arrive and that whole thing is lost on anyone 2 years younger than me...

It's sad, but if you supply them with everything they need they'll realize how special it is and hook onto it fast. People just need a friendly kick in the butt to get started and that's fully unders

I would love for someone to make a mix for me, or maybe just prepare one for me (tell me what songs and order they should go in) because even though i would like to, i don't have the time, especially the energy to sit down at my computer let alone a stereo system to make a mix.

i've asked a couple times if someone would make an org playlist for me, preferably long too. i know there are so many good bands out there, and some get coverage here but i don't check them out.

I liked the first record better, but this one definitely has "grower" written all over it. I'm only listening to it once until the LP arrives. Curiosity just got the best of me. It could definitely be their version of Dookie.

Ah, I see. I have stomach problems too, though I've never been diagnosed with anything. They tried to give me nausea medication and the 24 hours after I took the pill were the absolute worst of my life. I just stick to waking and baking and then after I eat, and I'm good.

I think it's worth the $9. But I should preface this by saying I am a huge Judd Apatow fan. Also, it's a dramedy. So although the movie is hilarious there are some serious scenes. For serious.

Well, Sandler plays a mix of a typical Apatow character and his acting from Punch Drunk Love. So, it's not Bedtime Stories Sandler.

Yeah, he's the typical frat boy's dream actor, but he's made some damn funny movies: Big Daddy, Grandma's Boy (he produced at least I think), The Waterboy, Little Nicky, Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison... I, for the life of me, could not get into Shoot 'Em Up. I wanted to so badly, I thought the previews looked great, I love the idea of the Bugs Bunny comparison, and it still just played out in front of me with no reaction.

I rented it from one of those kiosks at Ralph's and forgot to return it. Cost me $64 (to keep) for a movie I don't even watch.

it happened last night. i hit his tooth and it created quite a nasty gash. it wouldnt stop bleeding. i had to go to the ER. they couldnt stitch it up because technically it is a "bite." So they wrapped it up, gave me an antibiotic and pain killers. i have to go to a plastic surgeon to get my hand fixed. shit still hurts like crazy. i also got an x-ray of my hand, and they havent told me the results.

also, i hit him because he took a swing at me after he attempted to prank me and failed.

it's a really long story that dates back to last year, but hopefully this will suffice:

he tried to get my friends and me to go somewhere and make us look foolish, i knew he was plotting this, so instead of going where he wanted us to go, we went to where he and other people were actually were and put cups and fast food wrappers on his car. him and our mutual friend then went to where me and and my friends were hanging out. he clapped his hands, said "bravo," then went to shake my hand. he took a swing with his left while shaking my hand. he essentially missed but got me on the swing back, then i threw his hands down and punched him.

we werent sure whose blood was on his face....it was mine. i think i might have loosened his tooth. whatever, it wasn't worth it, and i'm mad at myself for doing it.
