Members of Senses Fail & The Banner form Bayonet

Buddy Nielsen of Senses Fail has joined Jeremy Comitas and Paul Klein of The Banner to form a new hardcore/punk project called Bayonet. The New Jersey-based band has posted two tracks for streaming.

The band's future plans include tours with Defeater and/or Outbreak. In the mean time, you can check out some music on their myspace page.

Why? He's a working musician, I'd rather tour with Senses Fail than do construction or work some bullshit retail job. It's not like he's rich off of HWM or anything.

But probably not more popular ones. It would kind of defeat the purpose if he went out on tour and lost money. I'm not Senses Fail apologist but it doesn't seem like such a bad deal.

It really seems lately like that shitty excuse for a 'genre' is coming to an end. Sure, it's being replaced by Brokencyde, but that shit doesn't bother me because I know the fans can't possibly enjoy the music, they're just having a good time. I hated the 'nu emo' stuff because I couldn't understand how someone could like it, and they actually did. And there were more than just 3 bands.

I find Brokencyde's fans a lot easier to laugh at than fans of that whole "nu emo" stuff. It's refreshing.

And stuff I like falls into nearly every category except mainstream hiphop, radio pop, metal and the whiny poppy 'emo' shit. Using sarcasm, you're basically saying then that those genres are the good ones and the ones I like are the bad ones. Pretty sure you'd lose that argument, and wouldn't even want to have it unless you were trying to go against everything I say, which you are.

i'll admit, the Banner's second proper album was alright. a little heavy on the misfits/danzig/"deep dark depths of my blackest soul" business, but it was what it was. i didn't hear the one before that, and apparently they released another one after that that i'd be interested in hearing as well. eh well. i'm just talkin'.
